Role Overview:

The Programme Coordinator – Health and Nutrition will be responsible for providing strategic direction, technical guidance, and leadership in implementing Concern’s health and nutrition initiatives across Bangladesh. This role is critical to ensuring programme quality, compliance with national/international standards, and alignment with donor requirements. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to design, implement, and scale impactful programmes that improve the health and nutritional outcomes of marginalized communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership in the design, planning, implementation, and evaluation of health and nutrition programmes.

Ensure programme activities adhere to organizational policies, donor requirements, and national/international standards.

Collaborate closely with the Programme Director, MEAL Technical Advisor, Operations Director, and Country Finance Controller to ensure effective programme delivery.

Lead proposal development for new health and nutrition projects in coordination with programme, finance, and partner teams.

Maintain strong coordination with government bodies, national networks, NGOs, and other stakeholders.

Ensure robust monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) frameworks are in place and utilized effectively.

Facilitate capacity building and training for staff and partners to enhance programme delivery and technical competency.

Represent Concern in national-level forums, donor meetings, and technical working groups, advocating for evidence-based programming.

Work closely with the Strategy, Advocacy, and Learning (SAL) unit in Dublin to ensure alignment with Concern’s global strategies and to contribute to knowledge sharing and innovation.

Educational Requirements:

Medical degree with a postgraduate qualification in Public Health, Nutrition, Epidemiology, or a closely related field.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in managing and delivering health and nutrition programmes, preferably in the NGO or humanitarian sector.

Key Competencies & Skills:

In-depth knowledge of public health and nutrition programming in developing country contexts

Strong leadership, coordination, and interpersonal skills

Experience working with multi-sector teams and building partnerships

Excellent communication, proposal writing, and reporting skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Salary & Benefits:

Monthly Gross Salary: BDT 198,254/-
