The Manager – Camp Management will be a central point of communication and coordination for the CCCM project. The role involves close coordination with camp authorities including the Camp-in-Charge (CiC), Assistant CiC (ACiC), UNHCR representatives, local government bodies, law enforcement agencies, sector leads, and the refugee community. The manager is responsible for implementing camp-level activities, strengthening complaint feedback and response mechanisms (CFRM), reducing disaster risks, and ensuring service coordination among humanitarian actors.
The role also includes efficient management of project budgets, ensuring timely implementation of the Project Implementation Plan (PIP), and submitting biweekly progress reports to the CCCM Project Manager. The Manager will guide and strengthen their team to implement SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) CCCM operations in close collaboration with UNHCR and CiC offices.
Bachelor's (Honors) degree in Sociology, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a relevant discipline.
Educational flexibility may be given to candidates with strong experience in Rohingya Response activities.
Minimum 5 years of experience in humanitarian or development organizations.
At least 3 years in a managerial position.
Experience in Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) is highly preferred.
Prior work in NGO settings is essential.
Strong understanding of CCCM, protection issues, human rights, disaster risk reduction (DRR), and resilience.
Experience with field operations and camp-level program implementation.
Excellent written and verbal English skills; ability to independently produce high-quality reports.
Gender sensitivity and familiarity with humanitarian principles and a Human Rights-Based Approach.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks effectively.
Strong team player, able to work in multicultural and multi-ethnic environments.
Skilled in MS Office Suite and data management.
Proficiency in the local language (Chittagonian or Rohingya) is an added advantage.
Capable of making timely decisions and prioritizing workload based on urgency.
Serve as the main coordination focal point for the camp administration and other stakeholders.
Engage with CiC, UNHCR, and other actors for day-to-day operational coordination.
Ensure effective functioning of the Complaint Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM).
Support disaster risk reduction and coordinate humanitarian services across sectors.
Oversee budget utilization, implement planned activities, and maintain timely reporting.
Build the capacity of supervisees and ensure adherence to project goals and donor requirements.
