Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA), preferably with a major in Finance or Accounting from a reputed university or institution.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the NGO, banking, or development sector.
Prior experience with EU-funded projects will be considered an added advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of Accounting, Financial Monitoring, Auditing, Budgeting, and Tax/VAT regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and financial management software.
Willingness to travel frequently across project sites in Bangladesh.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
This position supports financial compliance, documentation, and oversight across donor-funded projects in accordance with BRAC's internal financial policies and external donor guidelines. The Deputy Manager will play a key role in financial reporting, audits, and project budget monitoring, ensuring accountability and operational efficiency.
Conduct regular field visits to assess financial documents and ensure compliance with policies and donor requirements.
Prepare and submit timely Financial Monitoring Reports (FMRs), and engage stakeholders to resolve any audit or monitoring findings.
Assist in generating accurate financial reports, responding to audit queries, and coordinating with relevant departments for compliance.
Provide ongoing technical support to programme teams for effective financial documentation and reporting.
Monitor and analyze budget utilization, identify variances, and support donor reporting as per contractual agreements.
Review and verify financial records including cash books, vouchers, ledgers, bank statements, reconciliations, and payroll sheets.
Ensure correct Tax and VAT calculations and that deductions are deposited in accordance with government regulations.
Examine procurement practices, maintain fixed asset and inventory registers, and verify their financial integrity.
Promote and uphold BRAC’s safeguarding policies to ensure the protection of programme participants and team members from harm, abuse, or exploitation.
Act as a focal point in reinforcing a safe and ethical work environment.
Ensure compliance with reporting protocols for safeguarding concerns and encourage team-wide awareness.
