We are seeking a passionate and experienced Officer – Protection to support the implementation of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response activities in the Rohingya Refugee Response and Host Community Programs. The role will focus on supervising frontline field teams and ensuring effective delivery of community-based protection services, psychosocial support, and awareness-raising activities.
You will report directly to the Senior Officer – Protection, contributing to capacity building, referral coordination, and stakeholder collaboration to strengthen community resilience and protection mechanisms.
Supervise and support a multidisciplinary field team including Social Workers, Community Mobilizers, Case Workers, Cleaners, and Guards.
Oversee GBV and protection-related community engagement initiatives such as women’s and adolescent groups, awareness sessions, and recreational/psychosocial support activities.
Assist in planning and implementing community-based protection interventions, ensuring alignment with project goals and protection principles.
Facilitate training sessions, meetings, and community orientation on child protection and GBV-related topics.
Lead the collection, analysis, and documentation of qualitative data to inform program decisions and reporting.
Strengthen and coordinate referral pathways and maintain effective partnerships with local stakeholders and humanitarian agencies.
Regularly monitor field activities and ensure adherence to protection standards and Save the Children’s policies.
Support reporting processes by preparing field activity summaries, progress reports, and case documentation.
Promote safeguarding and ensure all program activities uphold the dignity, safety, and rights of children and vulnerable populations.
Bachelor’s degree (Honors) in Social Science, Anthropology, Development Studies, or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
At least 3 years of experience in protection programming within development or humanitarian organizations.
Prior experience in Child Protection, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), or community-based case management systems is essential.
Strong understanding of community-based approaches to protection and psychosocial support.
Practical experience in facilitating trainings, workshops, and interviews.
Experience in documenting and analyzing qualitative data.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and team management skills.
