Head of IT

Position: IT Manager

Location: Ashulia, Dhaka

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science

Master of Science (MSc) in Information Technology

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 8 to 10 years of proven experience in IT management, preferably in the garments industry

Experience in handling multiple factories or units under a single corporate group is preferred

Age Requirement:

35 to 45 years

Additional Qualifications:

Strong leadership experience in managing IT teams and driving technical projects

Excellent decision-making and project coordination skills

Proficient in IT infrastructure, networks, operating systems, and cloud-based solutions

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Advanced problem-solving ability for addressing technical issues and system updates

Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CompTIA Security+ are an advantage

Sound knowledge in cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and data protection best practices

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team to support cloud-based or network colocation environments

Oversee and manage onsite hardware, telecommunication systems, and remote workforce solutions

Take ownership of the IT roadmap and strategy aligned with business goals

Design and expand corporate network infrastructure across multiple global offices

Ensure network and system security, uptime, and disaster recovery readiness

Monitor IT systems performance and ensure high service quality

Provide leadership and motivation to the IT team to deliver exceptional support

Guarantee 24/7/365 support for network and business-critical applications

Manage full lifecycle of corporate application systems and long-term maintenance plans

Oversee deployment, monitoring, upgrading, and support of all IT systems:

Servers, computers, telephony, software applications, networking, and peripherals

Manage the department’s financials, including purchasing and budgeting

Maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and SLAs

Review all service agreements and vendor contracts

Ensure 99.9% uptime of all business applications and systems

Collaborate with senior leadership in planning IT strategy and technology investments

Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key technology providers

Perform any other duties as assigned by senior management
