Deputy General Manager -VAT

Position: VAT Section Head

Educational Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce from a reputed university.

Completion of C.A. (C.C.) course will be considered an added advantage.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 10 years of professional experience in VAT functions within a reputable manufacturing industry, with at least several years in a section head or leadership role.

Preference will be given to candidates currently working in manufacturing organizations.

Additional Requirements:

Age limit: 35–45 years (relaxation may be considered for candidates with specialized expertise).

Sound knowledge of VAT procedures, VAT management software, and Online VAT systems as per NBR guidelines.

Strong understanding of Customs and VAT laws, compliance regulations, and audit handling.

Practical experience in dealing with government authorities such as Customs, VAT Commissionerates, Circle Offices, and Intelligence Departments.

Computer literacy is essential, including VAT reporting tools and accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

Continuously update VAT policies and ensure alignment with current VAT laws and NBR regulations.

Maintain and update all VAT registrations and licenses.

Ensure timely submission and accuracy of VAT returns, avoiding penalties or interest.

Handle all communications and represent the company during audits, assessments, and hearings with VAT and Customs authorities.

Prepare and present VAT-related reports to senior management.

Monitor the implementation of VAT software systems in compliance with NBR requirements.

Maintain an up-to-date database of VAT rules, circulars, and notifications relevant to the company.

Identify and implement duty drawback procedures where applicable.

Perform any additional tasks assigned by senior management.
