Position: Compliance Manager

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA) or any relevant discipline.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in the garment industry.

Age: At least 35 years

Key Skills & Expertise:

Strong knowledge of compliance management, HIGG Index, sustainability practices, and sweater manufacturing processes.

In-depth understanding of Bangladesh Labor Law, buyer Codes of Conduct (COC), ILO standards, and ISO guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare the factory for various compliance audits and certifications, including BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, ICS, C-TPAT, Accord & Alliance/RSC, HIGG, and other ethical, social, environmental, and safety standards.

Regularly review and update policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with both Bangladesh Labor Law and buyer requirements.

Maintain readiness for unannounced audits or visits from buyers, third-party auditors, or government authorities.

Conduct regular internal audits and manage non-compliance (NC) issues and Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).

Ensure the factory maintains proper documentation and practices regarding employment, payroll, grievance handling, training & development, and other HR compliance matters.

Organize training programs and awareness sessions for management and non-management staff on labor law, ILO, ISO, human rights, and company policies.

Ensure grievance redressal and disciplinary processes are followed and properly documented.

Represent the factory during audits, buyer visits, and government/non-government inspections, and take initiative on CAP implementation.

Proactively visit all areas of the factory to identify compliance risks or hazards and resolve them promptly.

Arrange for environmental tests in line with regulatory requirements and maintain proper records.

Actively resolve compliance-related issues and report findings and progress to management.
