Requirements

Education:
Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in any discipline, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized university. Candidates must have no third division/class or equivalent CGPA at any academic level.

Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of professional experience is required.

Additional Requirements:

Age should not exceed 52 years as of May 31, 2025.

At least 15 years of experience in the banking sector, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior role related to Internal Control & Compliance (ICC), audit, or compliance.

Proficiency in banking operations, including credit, trade finance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), and fund management.

Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, including Bangladesh Bank guidelines, AML/CFT regulations, and global compliance standards.

Professional certifications such as CA, ACCA, ACMA, CIMA, or CIA are preferred.

Demonstrated leadership qualities, excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement robust internal control systems that comply with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.

Strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures to bolster risk management practices.

Ensure adherence to the bank’s policies, standards, and procedures by staff members.

Oversee risk-based internal audits to assess and improve risk management, control, and governance.

Present audit and inspection findings to management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.

Organize training programs and raise awareness among staff regarding internal control and compliance requirements.

Communicate audit outcomes, including responses and action plans, to the Managing Director.
