Educational Requirements

Master’s degree in Education, Project Management, Social Science, Child Development, or any other relevant field from a recognized institution.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.

Experience working in the development sector, especially with organizations focused on education or child development, is highly preferred.

Position Summary

The Literacy Program Officer will serve as the technical lead for literacy skill development and reading habit promotion at the upazila level, playing a key role in the successful implementation of reading advancement programs.
The position involves close coordination with the district field office, and the selected individual will report directly to the Project Director while providing technical supervision to Literacy Facilitators from partner organizations.
This role is critical in ensuring the quality and impact of field-level literacy interventions under the project.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance on literacy and reading habits to field-level teams.

Monitor and support the implementation of literacy activities at the upazila level.

Coordinate closely with district and partner organization teams to ensure program alignment and progress.

Conduct regular field visits to oversee Literacy Facilitators’ activities and ensure quality implementation.

Support training, mentoring, and capacity-building initiatives for field staff.

Collect and review literacy-related data and share insights for program improvement.

Report progress and challenges to the Project Director regularly.
