Position Overview:

ACI Premio Plastics Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and technically proficient professional to fill the role of Manager/Sr. Manager, Material Optimization & Process Efficiency. The candidate will focus on enhancing raw material utilization (both virgin and recycled polymers), improving production efficiency, and reducing product costs through innovative material management. This role is crucial for achieving quality, sustainability, and cost efficiency in the production of plastic furniture and household products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recipe Development & Raw Material Optimization:

Develop and refine formulations using optimal ratios of virgin polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), and recycled resins specifically for furniture and consumer plastic products.

Conduct both lab-scale and production-scale trials to verify mechanical properties, surface quality, and durability.

Collaborate closely with QA and R&D teams to ensure that formulations meet quality standards and customer expectations.

2. Production Efficiency Enhancement:

Identify production bottlenecks and suggest polymer or additive adjustments to minimize cycle time, shrinkage, warpage, and scrap rate.

Standardize procedures for raw material feeding, drying, and mixing to maintain production consistency.

Offer technical guidance on mold flow, melt temperature settings, and back pressure optimization tailored to resin blends.

3. Cost Control through Material Science:

Identify and select cost-efficient fillers, colorants, and stabilizers suitable for furniture-grade plastic components.

Lower the cost per unit by optimizing the use of regrind/recycled content without compromising performance.

Regularly perform cost-benefit analysis on formulation updates and propose cost-saving projects.

4. Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance:

Assist the QA team in diagnosing and resolving material-related defects such as brittleness, color variations, and surface issues.

Guarantee compliance with regulations on heavy metals, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and material safety for export-oriented products.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Coordinate with Supply Chain and Procurement to ensure the consistent availability of essential raw materials and additives.

Train production and QA staff on updated material specifications, handling practices, and quality assurance protocols.

6. Data Monitoring & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of material trials, recipe versions, cost savings, and quality feedback.

Create periodic reports highlighting material performance, process KPIs, and cost reduction efforts.
