Position: Lecturer – Civil Engineering (CE)

Minimum Qualifications

BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering from a reputed university.

At least three First Class/Division/A Grades in the academic record (GPA ≥ 3.5 at undergraduate level).

MPhil or PhD holders will receive preference.

Minimum 1 year of university‑level teaching experience is highly desirable.

Preferred Expertise

Hydrology & Irrigation Engineering │ Environmental Engineering │ Fluid Mechanics │ Open‑Channel Flow and related laboratory/sessional courses.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and labs for undergraduate Civil Engineering programmes—particularly core foundation courses.

Develop innovative teaching strategies that accommodate diverse learning styles and foster academic excellence.

Curriculum & Quality Assurance

Design and update course materials; support continual programme review to meet accreditation standards and industry needs.

Student Support

Provide academic advising, mentoring, and timely feedback through assessments, assignments, and examinations.

Research & Scholarship

Initiate or collaborate on research projects aligned with departmental priorities; contribute to scholarly publications and conferences.

Service & Leadership

Participate in departmental committees, outreach activities, and other university initiatives.

Undertake additional academic or administrative duties assigned by the Head of Department or university authority.
