Supervise 25–30 acres of seed production blocks and execute the production plan as per schedule.
Select appropriate land/blocks, finalize agreements with contract growers or landowners, and prepare detailed block layouts.
Organize farmer meetings and seasonal training/orientation sessions. Conduct regular follow-ups with a minimum of 8–10 farmers and their plots daily.
Oversee timely seedbed preparation and irrigation, ensuring the main field is ready one day prior to transplanting.
Manage all aspects of crop care, including water management, fertilizer use, pest control, GA3 application, and supplementary pollination.
Identify issues in plots or among farmers and report findings to the Seed Production Sector Specialist.
Ensure production of genetically pure seeds (98% purity) through consistent rouging and by planting R-line seedlings in specified 5-foot areas.
Install protective barriers before flowering to prevent cross-pollination with other rice varieties.
Develop a harvesting action plan aligned with processing capacity at the chatal (drying yard).
Collect and verify lot-wise seed samples before weighing to prevent admixture and confirm seeds are at 12% moisture content before purchase.
Uphold and implement all safeguarding policies to protect team members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, or exploitation.
Serve as a point of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding practices to maintain a safe and respectful workplace.
Promote safeguarding awareness within the team and ensure consistent adherence to standards.
Promptly report any safeguarding concerns and encourage others to do the same.
Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by the supervising authority.
