This position falls within the Cultural Engagement team, which oversees programmes related to arts, education, English, and research. We deliver globally driven programmes that align with our strategic goals and deliver long-term impact.
The Programme Manager – English & School Education will lead initiatives that aim to improve English language teaching and learning across both formal and non-formal education systems in Bangladesh. The role contributes to three core programmes:
English Connects: A digital, open-access platform offering resources and learning for English teachers globally via the TeachingEnglish website and social media.
School Systems: Works in partnership with governments to enhance basic education, focusing on English, digital, and life skills. It strengthens policies, teacher development, school leadership, curriculum, and assessment.
Empowerment: Aims to support young people—especially women, girls, and conflict-affected individuals—by developing their English and life skills for personal empowerment.
Educational Background: A Master's degree in Education or a related field is required. A postgraduate diploma in English Language Teaching (e.g., TEFL-Q) is strongly preferred.
